UPDATED! 09-21-08

Make sure you check out getafreelancer.com – sometimes there are tech jobs posted, although they mostly focus on designers and programmers. Definitely worth looking at!

And there’s many more pages in the works, but for now, this is the Tech Resources page. As I come across things I think will com in handy to tech-minded folk, I’ll post links here. Post a comment someplace if you want to leave feedback on any sites or companies listed. I’ll keep adding to it, as people make recommendations, and I go through my bookmarks.

  • www.onforce.com – referred to me as “Simply the best way to conduct sub-contract business”. Dunno if it’s true or not, bc I have never worked for onforce.com. If you have, please post a comment.
  • http://www.us.randstad.com – Have pulled a couple of jobs for these guys. It’s more 9 to 5 type assignments than just service calls, but it’s a great way to get your foot in the door and get some experience, especially if you are a new tech.
  • www.craigslist.org – great place to place ads just to go do service calls on your own, or if you have your own shop. A lot of tech companies also post jobs they need to contract out to somebody, as well as job listings. Well worth the time to check out.
  • www.indeed.com – This is a job search board, but it pulls up a lot of listings that I have not come across anywhere else. And you can get really specific, too. One extra I like about this site – there is a forum where you can post your opinions about working for a company.

I also like http://techrepublic.com.com/ – awesome resources here for techies, although not so much of the job search kind.
